Cryo-EM Survey Standard Evaluation Service

Survey standard assessment is based on ideal negative staining results, and a second round of sample quality assessment is conducted based on preliminary cryo-electron microscopy data collection results. Survey standard assessment serves to evaluate whether the target protein sample is suitable for electron microscopy analysis, as well as the difficulty of electron microscopy analysis and the risk of the results. It is also an initial step for structure analysis and a pre-test for formal structure analysis. Survey standard evaluation results can provide positive correlation guidance for the electron microscope image collection effect. In addition, if the samples are consistent, the acquired data can be effectively integrated into the subsequent structural analysis work.

Workflow

1.Sample preparation and delivery

2.Grids selection

3.Frozen sample preparation

4.Sample screening and data collection

5.2D classification and data pre-processing

Application of Cryo-EM Survey Standard Evaluation

1.Experience the whole process of Cryo-EM structural analysis at a low cost, significantly reducing experimental uncertainty.

2.Visually evaluate whether the sample is suitable for electron microscopy analysis, as well as the difficulty of the analysis and the potential risks.

3.The results can be used for the following structural analysis work and guide sample optimization.

Why Choose CryoEM-Solutions

1.Reduced graphene oxide support film

The reduced graphene oxide grid is ideal for biomacromolecules with low concentration (around 100 nanomolars) and sensitive properties. It is well-suited for biomacromolecules that are easily denatured, have small molecular weights (as small as 100kDa), and have serious orientation problems when using conventional grids.

2.Simple sample preparation

Cryo samples can be prepared directly without sample crystallization.

3.Extremely low sample requirements

Typically only 100 ul of protein samples with a concentration of 2 mg/mL and a purity of more than 95% are required.
